Game of Thrones Literally Only Shared Two Photos of the Finale

That must mean a big surprise is coming.

WARNING: This story contains spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 8.

The finale is coming. Game of Thrones just released new photos for the show's last episode ever, which airs next Sunday. HBO is being extra secretive about GoT's final chapter, only releasing two images for the upcoming episode as opposed to the five to ten pictures they've shared for previous installments. The shots were also moments fans have seen in the latest teaser.

The first photo shows Daenerys Targaryen post-King's Landing massacre, looking out to her Unsullied and Dothraki forces amidst the smoke and rubble. We last saw the Mother of Dragons suddenly turning into a "Mad Queen," torching the majority of King's Landing and the Lannister soldiers and innocent civilians with it. Now that Cersei Lannister is out of the picture, the throne is unoccupied. Will Dany finally take the crown like her many ancestors before her?

The second image shows Tyrion Lannister in the burned streets of the city, looking gravely concerned. In the beginning of last week's episode, he was convinced that his queen Daenerys would stop attacking the city once the Lannister army had surrendered. But much to his surprise (and ours), she didn't.

The finale preview also shows the Dothraki army getting riled up and raising their arakhs, followed by a bloodied Arya Stark skeptically peeking out from the military formations. Oddly enough, we don't see Jon Snow (Aegon Targaryen); what will he be up to?

The final episode of Game of Thrones airs Sunday, May 19, on HBO at 9 P.M. ET.
